the training at quad is second to none. i have been looking for a high energy, high performance training facility for years. the instructors give so much of themselves to prepare for us, and we appreciate it.
i belong to a luxurious club with every bell and whistle, but i would never miss my quad essentials.
i will always fondly remember the march 30, 2008 three hour ride. It is easy to spin for three hours when you have rae warm up, quintin rev you up, magdalena take you to a whole new level, than ange with the enthusiasm of mike meyers on steroids, followed by chris and his ridiculous leg speed, and ending with the queen of spinning herself - micheline. i cannot remember the last time i had so much fun working so hard.
kudos to the quad team.

as a gym veteran, it is such a treat to find a place like quad
where every size, skill and fitness level are welcome. each instructor
is there to ensure i get the best workout i can, through constant encouragement,
technique tips and great music. i have yet to attend a class where i haven't
gone further than i thought i could. i consistently walk away feeling stronger
and happier. each instructor is there because of their love of spinning, not
just because it is a job.
spinning is helping me to transform and reshape my body. i am much stronger
and firmer than i have ever been, and my butt is rock hard. i am in better shape
than i was in my early 20's. quad is a treasure, and quad spinning soon becomes
addictive!

“if you go to quad spinning you can ride to montreal and back!”
that’s what a friend of mine told me, and he was right. i joined
quad spinning in february of 2004, because i wanted to get in shape
so that i could participate in the july friends for life bike rally
to montreal. by july (after only 5 months of spinning) i was more
than ready for the bike rally, and by the time we reached montreal, i
felt like i could biked all the way back home. quad spinning made
me reach my goal.
wWhen i joined in february i was out of shape, and had a hard time
losing weight, although for many months i tried diets, and even weight
watchers. diet alone just wasn’t enough. so when my friend told me
about quad spinning, i had to try it out for myself. from day one, i
felt welcomed and supported by all the staff especially micheline who
gave me her one on one personal support and training. the classes
are energizing, and inspiring, even though they push me to my limits.
the staff showed genuine care, and kept me motivated to come back.
so by june (after working out regularly for 4 months) i was fit enough
to walk up 20 flights of stairs after every spinning class. not only
have i lost weight, but i’ve also gained muscles and dropped dress sizes.
i have a much higher level of patience. my stress level has been reduced
by half. my self esteem is up. i have better coordination. better balance
and much better outlook on everything. strangely enough, spinning has given
me peace of mind.
because of quad spinning, i was able to complete the trip, and raise thousands
of dollars for hiv & aids. strange how the “wheels” of life turn and how one
good service can affect so many others.

quad is an awesome spinning club that was started by
micheline who had her own spin studio in l.a. (the spinning
mecca). i have been hugely devoted since day one; their
teachers are qualified, lovely, soulful people who make
you feel great, no matter what level you are at. the
music is very well chosen and tres groovy, and they
walk around regularly giving you technique tips (oh
so important!). i could not recommend it more. whether you go
part-time, cross-train or full time; they rock!

About a year ago I walked by your studio on King Street West and peeped inside, grabbed a schedule and thought to myself, "one day". I had taken Spinning at various gyms but never got why people loved it. So I put the schedule on my bulletin board at home and left it at that.
Back in January I decided to get very serious about loosing my blubber (let's face it Gaultier does not make clothes for men 300+lbs., not that I am that heavy, but I digress). So I decided to completely re-evaluate my total exercise program. For years I was doing the four days a week at the gym, one of those days was with a trainer. Who not only became my exercise mentor but a friend.
It was until recently that I decided that I needed to part ways, for no reasons other than to give it a go by myself, with my trainer and start my own fitness program. But the one stipulation was, I had to work out six times a week, two of those had to be out of the gym doing something fun where I broke a sweat. There on my bulletin board was an old Quad Spin schedule with your web site. I went on-line, looked up the beginner class, and the rest was history.
At this point I had not done a Spin class in years. From the moment by blubber butt walked into Quad Spin I was treated like a member of "spinning team" not just a person who paid for a class. The Introductory class is what got me hooked into "the power of Spinning". Before I even sat down on the bike the instructor said to me, "now this is your bike and I'm going to be watching you for posture, balance and take make sure you breathing properly. I don't care how fast you are going I care how you get there." I WAS BLOWN AWAY!!! For whole class she did just that. She watched how I sat, rode, peddled, and especially was breathing (if at all) LOL. She was just incredible and the music was so much fun. I was hooked on Quad Spin and began to take classes regularly.
Due to some personal scheduling conflicts I have to take a Spin class at my gym. The Spin instructors at not bad, but they are not of Quad Spin calibre. I have seen people go bounding into Spin classes at my gym only to sit wrong, adjust their bikes to the wrong height and almost injure themselves. In addition, most instructors at many gyms have a "get the class over" attitude. At Spin it's more, "let's take the journey together some will be fast, some will be slow, but we are all in this together." The difference between my gym and Quad is night and day.
Now as I am about enter your weight loss program I am thrilled I understand now the philosophy of spinning and I sincerely miss it when I can hit Quad Spin for your classes. I wanted to thank you for developing Quad Spin as it has completely changed my attitude and basically my philosophy to exercise and what it really means to "train smartly". I can not wait to begin my classes at Quad, which also gives me an excuse to spend less time at my gym and somewhere fun.
I wish you nothing but the best and thank you.
